"On this score, it seems, the Russian automobile designers have something of which not even Detroit can brag - a true family-size convertible sedan."

(Auto Age magazine, Feb 1953)

It is a copy of pre-war German Opel Kadet K38, 4-door sedan (rare version!)
After the WWII a lot of Opel's equipment and documentation was moved to Moscow, and Opel engineers were ordered to restore production in Mosow (a lot of documenation, equipment, buildings and cars were destroyed during the war in Germany).

I wonder, if Opel offered any cars for sale in USA or Canada in 1930s?

I don't think so. Opel had been bought by General Motors, and sent some Opels to Britain.

But I don't think North America got any?
