Showing TT trains at Geek Meet!

Showing TT trains at Geek Meet!

Postby WillYart » Mon Apr 22, 2013 2:23 am

Went and displayed the layout (still under construction) at a Geek Meet; it's a Honolulu sort of thing; being isolated in the middle of the ocean it's not surprising that we would have events that mix many hobbies. We had a guy with a Ghost buster's backpack, Medieval armor and tournaments, Star Wars-style helmets and outfits, a solar panel company, and others.

It was extremely popular with the kids. They were able to operate the layout.

Isn't the kid operating the layout quite a bit large?

Yeah, heh that's me. They were little rough at times and they twisted some couplers but it was worth it.

The layout was actually powered by the solar power display next door!

It's not unusual to do stuff like this outside here, since space is limited on the island and the weather is great.
