A great choice actually. I want to do another 4 axle loco and see what demand for the first two models will be like. If it's good I'll do a 6 axle - the reason not to do it now is the higher costs associated with more gears, more axles/wheels and, longer chassis requiring more raw materials.

I guess I'll include an option for the GE "haters" ;) EMD GP30 has been added to the poll and you can change your vote if you want.

Crap. Either I messed something up or the poll resets everything to zero if it's been altered. Please vote again.

At this point, availability of ANY American diesel loco in TT would be a great improvement, although my admittedly weird preferences would be for a GE U18b, or an EMD CF7, both of which were used by very few roads, although the CF7's did show up on a number of shortlines in it's later years. The U18b was noticeably shorter than all the other U-boats, a feature I think makes it a good choice for a model railroad layout where just about everything (except the rail size) is radically compressed.

Press on, Alex!

Bill

I would want whatever locomotive chosen to have also been used by Canadian railways. A quick look up did not list CN or CP as owners of any other than the GP30.

Ok, I'll take it off the poll and hope it doesn't get reset again.
