Re: AstroGoat and CaTTwoman's 2020 TT Scale Resolutions

Hey Astro, (or do you prefer Goat?)

Its inspiring seeing you set a goal/resolution for the year and work towards it. I always have some projects on the go but no concrete goals set.
I look forward to seeing all those projects come together. keep up the good work

Re: What's on the bench?

I've been doing some weathering recently and have finished some of my 'fat' Russian TT scale rolling stock (ie not narrow gauge!). https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49190600436_b17e585902_z.jpg This is a Tillig model of the Czech prototype locomotive ChME2-002 for the Russian railways. I made a fe...

Re: Lionel F3 + Tillig BR218

They look great, make sure you post a photo of the completed loco for us! Great idea making the Blomberg sideframes as a replacement for an existing part. I did a similar thing with an N scale sideframe recently, but I haven't installed them yet. Great minds think alike or something? I wonder who ca...

Re: What's on the bench?

That is a lot of snowploughs JP. But summer is actually almost here in southern lands. With 41°c yesterday and winds gusting up to 110km/h it was not a nice day. More likely to need a plough for dust rather than snow... ConducTTor, where you asking about narrow gauge locos to match those Ammendorf w...

Re: What's on the bench?

I recently finished scratchbuilding a group of three Ammendorf wagons. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49046491392_5f37cb63d2_z.jpg They were made in the late 1940's to the early 50's in East Germany for the use on Russian narrow gauge lines. The workshop and steam generator set used for getting...

Re: Lionel F3 + Tillig BR218

I have one of the the "usual" Br212/V169 Tillig locomotives (item 02742) that Arseny mentioned. The frame and electric board look exactly the same as the photo of the one with the green board that Terry posted above. I would assume that the dimensions would be the same as the starter versi...

Maisto, thanks for that. I think I have heard the name but haven't really noticed them before.

Re: Light Rail in TT?

I have thought about light rail, my son loves trams and is a frequent commuter in Melbourne. There has been a resurgence in light rail in recent years with lines (in Australia) opening in Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle and a large network on the Gold Coast near Brisbane. But I think I am too busy model...
