Re: The identification thread

Very interesting!
Is that metal copper sheet? Copper is quite soft and will form over details nicely. That is what they use for masks when spraying paint schemes on rolling stock.

Re: New to TT scale

Welcome to TT jaycello! I've been using the 8.3mm RP25 wheelsets from Modellbau Müller that TheKnighTT mentioned. They have ebay and on-line stores. Here is the link to their store RP25 page: https://www.muellerradsatz.de/epages/es124766.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es124766/Categories/TT__Radsaetze_...

Re: Bigelov's projects

You know, I can't remember how I textured the walls! I have used basic Tamiya putty thinned down in the past (thanks to Night Shift from Youtube for that one), and may have stippled some on the walls with a sponge. Everything was undercoated in a grey primer and the white was stippled on with a larg...

Re: Bigelov's projects

I seem to have so many projects that it's hard to focus on one thing. But I have been slowly progressing with my narrow gauge loco shed. I printed a lot of details that have been sitting around for about a year and a half... and then got sidetracked with US TT rolling stock. So I am finishing off wh...

Re: BTTB 1979 product catalogue

I love old catalogues :) A while back I found a Polish website that has scans of pages of lots of catalogues. Unfortunately they are jpg images one page at at time rather than pdf's, but it does have this 1979 BTTB catalogue on there as well. The link is https://as.rumia.edu.pl/tt/kat/ and it has th...

Re: Bigelov's projects

The most I have made from these jigs is two items and haven't had any problems. The pins stay in the MDF, except in the bending jigs, so it would just be moisture absorption, hard handling and heat that would affect the jigs. Two pieces are just not enough for any problems. I don't think a metal jig...
