Scale Rails SP 0-6-0 redetailing
I have two brass Scale Rails TT scale SP prototype 0-6-0 switch engines I intend to upgrade with brass (Christoph?) detail parts. If I go to the trouble to redetail, I'm wondering: should I also consider repowering these locos with more contemporary (efficient, powerful?) motors and drives. Any thou...

TT scale steam loco headlights
Just received my order from Shapeways for a "tree" of 20 TT scale pyle-national cannister type headlights that were in service from the 19-teens onwards. 10 of these lights have visors over the lens, 10 do not. Also included on the "tree" is a small bulbular insert that serves as a "lens" which can ...

Headlights for SP 0-6-0 switchers
I have two ScaleRails SP switchers. I intend to redetail both of them including changing the headlights on the models. SP used two styles of headlights: Sunbeam, Pyle National. Shapeways (R.K.Dickman) for $5.50 has a "tree" of 20 TT scale Pyle National headlights (with/without visors) based upon a S...

Re: DIECAST TT scale trucks, tractors cars
Arseny, I would need metal models of trucks, cars or other vehicular equipment in TT scale. I located a web site called Fairfield Collectibles that specializes in this field. According to Fairfield diecast models are metal, but their business in selling these models includes some that are made of re...

DIECAST TT scale trucks, tractors cars
Looking to the forum for some help. What are known sources for available DIECAST vehicles as noted above? I would like to obtain a few in the range from 1930's -- 1960's, preferably north american or Russian vehicles.

Re: Is there a market for US TT?
Only for the guy everyone sends their money to. It's foolhardy at best to place much credence in what folks at train shows assure you will sell like hotcakes. Of course they're very interested in TT, they're very interested in everything at the train show, sort of why they came. What people tell yo...

Re: Is there a market for US TT?
I think I can answer the subject header of this topic with some insight given my experience. My opinion is offered grudgingly as I do not wish to rain on anybody’s parade, however; most of the proposed path forward in this discussion is already well trodden ground and been put into practise. So… Is...
