Re: CB&Q SM-18 36' stock car

OK, by my count we are up to 29 kits, at present. America 2, Australia 12, Denmark 2 and Germany 13. Checked with Leadville again, payment can be made by each individual by paypal to - Leadvilledesigns@gmail.com They would like a $20 USD deposit on each kit before production starts and lead time wil...

Re: CB&Q SM-18 36' stock car

Checked with Leadville and they are quite happy to do the bulk rate AND ship to different locations. My suggestion was to ship to one location in each country and let the " volunteer receiver " split things up and distribute. By my count we are up to 15 to 18 kits so far. Could those who w...

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

Length is not an issue as the Tillig chassis is about 4mm shorter at each end than the body, as the inside of the body ends is taken up by the prism reflectors for the lights. The main problem is that the Whitcomb tapers both down from the cab to the nose, but also tapers in as the hood sides rise. ...

CB&Q SM-18 36' stock car

In my latest journal from the Burlington H.S. was a note about an etched combo kit from Leadville Designs in HO & N. https://leadvilledesigns.com/collections/ho-finescale-trains/products/ho-cb-q-58000-59000-36-stock-car Being the eternal optimist the usual question was asked about doing it in TT...

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

In accurate engineering talk - the truck wheelbase is a bit over ( size of one axle box ) and the truck centres bit under. Tillig V-100 A.JPG Tillig V-100 B.JPG Chassis frame length is a bit over, but removing the buffers and filing back until level with the steps would help reduce this. Personally,...

Re: Tillig News 2022

So, how about going the other way? Use the East German V-100 chassis and stick a Whitcomb 65T center cab body on it. USATC as Piko have released in HO. Some made it back to the US on shortline RR's
