Re: TT-Tracks

My how time flies when you are having fun (or suffering from Covid malaise). Lost track of the date and missed an important anniversary last week. On the 18th, TT-Tracks was 11. The new corners are progressing well. 20220125 four corners.jpg All track is down. Some of the curves are not as smooth as...

Re: TT-Tracks

Thinking about a large(ish) body of water, I needed a smooth surface to start with. Trying to fill and smooth a foam surface did not sound like fun so I decided to use Styrene. Template.jpg I used .060" styrene. Measuring carefully (for once) I ended up with this as a water surface. Paint it a ...

Re: TT-Tracks

I am asking for the weekends of: 15/16 and 22/23. That brackets the TT-Tracks birthday on the 18th. Might be possible to get another weekend if so desired. Also asking if there would be access during the week.If so I would be tempted to take the week off and binge work on projects. Looks like Janua...

It's a Small world and there are some nice people in it

We have a customer at the store who has two sons who live in Germany. When he returned from his recent visit he had a small package for me. It was for the TT Guy at Central Hobbies. 20211124_230135.jpg It contained a very nice moose, some trucks and a container with a car inside of it. He couldn't r...

A good selection of images of the results of our weather disaster is at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tranbc/albums/72157720143417483/page1 Currently both railway lines through the Fraser canyon are open. The southern Highway 3 is open for essential truck traffic only. This is a slow winding road t...

My van is not currently capable of making the trip. Needs a lot of $$ or replacing.
As to driving back, I need to be back in time to open the store at 11 AM Monday.

Weather Event

It’s sunny and warmish today. Time to assess the total destruction brought about by our fifth Atmospheric River since September. The first four brought a lot of rain and everything was waterlogged. The fifth over last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday brought a months rain (up to 12" in some locatio...
