Re: TT-Tracks

How about an adjustable 3rd rail? With a long series of parallel stepper motors or something similar. That would work for straight track, but not curves. If I was going to add a rail for HOn30, I would think about HOn3 as well. But neither would be done until I acquired a rail bender. Bendi...

Sweet! I got my second of AZ today! :)
That's good.
Now if Terry and Tibi can chime in with their status, maybe we can start thinking about getting together for a beer or two.

Re: eBay Estate - TT

I chased after and purchased two flat cars, a 42' and a 50'. The 42' car stripped down nicely into something I can use as a master to cast a fleet of cars. The deck came off. The 50' car was very nicely built. The deck was not removable, but was thin enough that I can add a new deck on top. It will...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

To power my N scale trains through a decoder to the track I've been using the old Roco DCC (10764) which we use as a booster at train shows. Although the Z21 has adjustable track voltage I have used the old unit with a 12v wall wart instead and it works. So a power supply with a lower voltage might...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

The lower part of this website is translated into English. If not, you can switch the translation on at the upper right corner. Here are the Manual and the WhitePaper , both in German and English. Package, shipping, and handling are together 26,70 €. That doesn't look too bad. Would double what I p...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

You can also use several bridge rectifiers, instead of the diodes. Simply connect plus and minus and install the two AC connectors in the supply line. These also have a nice surface to attach to a heat sink. A more elegant and adjustable solution is the Digital Signal Regulator from amw.huebsch.at ...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

The track voltage of 20V cannot be changed. Maybe it is possible to supply the SC7 via a power supply with less output voltage. But this isn't documented and I advise against it. Funnily enough when I contacted Uhlenbrock about the system (the KM1 is an modified Intellibox II) they suggested the sa...

Re: TT-Tracks

I need a set of track to test TT Scale stuff on without setting up modules. I have started modifying some Kato HO scale Unitrack by adding a third rail. I hope to have a 21.5" radius oval when I am finished. 20210504_Dual Gauge Kato Track.jpg I start by gluing the rail in place then drill hole...

Re: 2021 Shows in Greater Vancouver

:( PNE could have a *bit* of understanding, considering the situation of the world... b*****s Seriously. Apparently punishing customers is their business strategy. The PNE is in a rock and a hard place situation. It is a city owned facility so it is not eligible for the various Covid relief grants....
