Re: Will a sound decoder speaker fit in a Tillig BR 285
Tillig has in it manual written: "The installation of a rectangular speaker is possible in the area of transformer replica". Where ever it is. You should open your model and search for some space. I know this is an old thread, but in case this is not solved yet (or anyone is interested): ...

Re: Digital coupler compatible with Tillig and Kuehn coupler
Both yes. I guess it's more durable than the one Krois sells, because their's is made of 3D print, and no one knows, how 3D print reacts when it's aging. Although it's sold as a shunting coupler (meaning it is aimed at locos in a yard or so), I would consider it mainline save. I think it's like any ...

Digital coupler compatible with Tillig and Kuehn coupler
Hey guys, In case you don't know yet, since around a year SD-Modell offers a digital coupler: http://www.sd-modell.de/produkte/tt-digitalkupplung It is 100% compatible with Tillig or Kuehn coupler, though not to itself (you can't couple two locos equipped with this coupler). The plastic part is inje...

Re: Switzerland - various
AAE (Ahaus-Alstätter Eisenbahn) is a very small German railroad (I think, they don't have any locomotive anymore) which earns by far most of it's money by leasing out freight cars. (I'm not sure if they still offer traffic at all) I know this is an old thread, but I would like to do make this a lit...

Re: Tillig Diesellok M62, Item 02572
Ok, I have to admit, I don't judge locos by exhibition performance. But, of course, this is another issue. I don't know how strict you are about locomotive usage and the prototype. At least the Reichsbahn V200 version of the M62 was a very rare sight with passenger trains, because they didn't have h...

Re: Tillig Diesellok M62, Item 02572
Hi Henryk,
If you plan to buy other models of this prototype (M62), look for the Roco model, because the Tillig model is really old and outdated, technically and optically wise.

Re: German Engineering
They are ALL Chinese - nothing is made in Germany (or US) any more. That's not true. Tillig does have an own production line in their factory in Sebnitz, and they run a factory just opposite the border in the Czech Republic. Though I'm not true, which products are actually made where. I would think...

Re: Germany - DB AG and private Railways
@LVG1 About the popularity of the class 120 in (former) Eastern Germany: I think, your text contains a lot of coffee cup reading... I think, the entire situation with the 120 is much easier. First about the question, why the 120 is a rather seldom sight in Eastern Germany. Although the 120 was not b...
