Re: Video of the Day

An exception might be the trestles at the southern end of the Fraser River crossing, south of Vancouver British Columbia. The rail line goes from Vancouver to Seattle Washington. (Canadian National and BNSF) I have crossed it on Amtrak many times. One photo, looking south, shows the northern end at ...

Re: TT-Tracks

It looks like Bill has the same problem which I have with the rail cutter handles. Maybe I'll try gluing mine.
And next he'll want a 4th rail for N.

Re: Modellbahnshop Sebnitz

On 6 May I registered at MBS Modell + Spiel GmbH and ordered a wagon from Schirmer, a locomotive from Kuehn, a car from MTB, and a couple turnout kits from Tillig. I got an email saying the order was ready, but it was only the turnouts. The other items needed to be brought in for shipping later. Del...

Re: Lionel F3 + Tillig BR218

Not much to show for the F3 after such a long time. I was very sick last year in June and again in July and it took a long time to get over that. Renovations were done to our apartment building and to my apartment which interfered with life, too. There haven't been any train shows to provide motivat...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

So what are you aiming to operate with this controller? If you are trying to get lower voltage for smaller scale trains, why are you looking for so much amperage in the output (judging from you comments about diodes and power supply)? Are you hoping to use it to run a club layout? The 3 amps of the ...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

To power my N scale trains through a decoder to the track I've been using the old Roco DCC (10764) which we use as a booster at train shows. Although the Z21 has adjustable track voltage I have used the old unit with a 12v wall wart instead and it works. So a power supply with a lower voltage might ...

Re: KM1 System 7 DCC Controller

As you may have found already the information links offered by KM1 yield zero results. Perhaps you can ask Eurorail Hobbies - it's listed on their web site. Do you plan to use it with the Z21 through the sniff bus? Or use it as a booster? 20 volts @ 7 amps. Looks like it's meant for large scales. - ...

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

Tillig's BR50 has all four wheels for the tender driven by a motor in the tender. The locomotive drivers are free rolling. Mine is an older model but I think the latest models are much the same. Drivers = 10.37 mm / 0.41 in. diameter Tender wheels = 8 mm / 0.62 in. diameter Wheel base of each tender...
