The problem the city has is you can't just kill a 110 year old tradition.
New Westminster had no qualms about killing a 150 year old tradition...

Re: Zeuke-TT, what's new?

There was an issue of Mainline Modeler that had an article on building a cushion underframe, in HO of course but I think it'd be doable in TT as well (I can't get at it though, it's buried in my dad's basement, and he's in Hungary until at least July)... it's a nifty solution using (IIRC) a spring f...

How do you plan on fixing the dome?
Probably a bit of milliput and file it to shape.

Hungarian class 442 steam locomotive in kit form

Recently I acquired a "rough kit" of a Hungarian class 442 steam locomotive. Normally, the guy who sold it sells them as completed models, but he offered for sale one body shell that was damaged (broken dome), very cheaply. So I jumped at it, and he included 3D prints of all the other nece...

Hobbipark - Vamitools

So these guys manufacture a wide array of buildings and other scenery items (fences, posts, station area details, town details, etc) http://www.hobbipark.hu/ They're models of Hungarian prototypes, but a lot of it can be useful for Slovakian, Romanian, Serbian, or Croatian settings too, especially t...

Re: Zeuke-TT, what's new?

NYC Jade cars are a fantastic choice, regardless of your location, if you're modelling inside a certain timeframe you can use one. At some point in the late 60s or early 70s I'm told by an observer there were even a couple in captive service between Vancouver and who knows where... (same car showing...

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

I have a hunch that the short tenders weren't used out on the mains, but I'll look around. I'll also see if I can't find a drawing of those, to see how they compare to the BR50/52 tenders.

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

The bogies would be driven like any four axle diesel wit a gear tower. It looks like the tender bogie wheelbase is very similar between the R3* and the BR50, so it would be a matter of working out a suitable bogie sideframe and lengthening the distance between bogies with a longer drive shaft. Good...
