Re: Questions and comments that don't need a thread of their own

I'll stick it in here instead of starting a one-post thread...

In case anyone's interested, I've resurrected my SP in 1:120 blog http://espeett.blogspot.com/, with a new post last night on finally working out a workable plan for modelling Carpinteria. :)

Art & detail...?

Re: They're here!

Mike and I are very happy that the cars have finally arrived. Have fun with them! Thanks! I'm very happy (and relieved) too, that was quite the gong show! Wow, that CP car is bright! I can see your leanings towards lemon loads now  The three railways of my childhood and youth: the brig...

Re: They're here!

I'm just wondering what condition the lemons on the bottom are in. There's probably 100 cubic feet of lemonade in each of those gons lol.
Probably not great, but they're going for juicing, so...

SP sugar beet gons in lemon service

Tim O'Connor posted this in the SP Prototype Modelers facebook group showing sugar beet gons filled with lemons bound for a juice plant in Anaheim from Yuma, Arizona.

I've always liked those cars... this could be an excuse to model some!
