Re: TT Scale as a College Topic

So what were your findings? Why can't we be normal like everybody else?

Re: eBay Estate - TT

The last American TT stuff offered on German ebay were six HP Products cars and two badly repainted F7s for about 750$. I think it's understandable we choose ebay.com. I got some of the equipment from this auction as well, to get some trains running. Some of it is beautifully modeled, including unco...

Nice gift. I doubt anything but Rokal will run on the points. Maybe wait some time and Rokal items will find their way to you, TT Guy.

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

If you only need the engine parts it´s probably cheapest to just order parts from Tillig for the CSD 555 (Tillig 02283) BR52/Class 555 diagram and parts https://www.tillig.com/dateien/Produkte/TTModellbahnen/Lokomotiven/Dampflokomotiven/02283_84_87_367241_BR52_2016_01_27.pdf All available parts: htt...

Re: Hungarian class 442 steam locomotive in kit form

Tillig made the BR86 as CSD Class 455.2 (Tillig 204242) which has black wheels. If you can´t get one of those, it might be possible to use a normal BR86 and get the black parts from Tillig directly.

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

Tillig BR50 and BR52 use the same chassis, yes. The Tillig BR38 was designed to use the Wannentender of BR52. But I don't know if it's possible to use BR38 tenders directly on the BR50/52 chassis. Two different tenders were used on the R3b and R3c, but I don't know if the short tenders were only use...

Re: Zeuke-TT, what's new?

Is it the State of Maine - Bangor and Aroostook Boxcar? That's the only one I'd recognize from a mile a away.

It's tough for me, and sounds like "I'm thinking of a boxcar, you have to guess which one!" 😀

Re: Canadian steamers from German models...

Michael from Art&Detail is also working on a conversion kit for a Tillig BR56 into a NA prototype. I asked him about a CP style cab and he was willing to do it. Tillig's BR50 has tender drive, but so has the BR38. The BR38 also comes with a longer wheel base tender, I'll try to find the measures...

Re: Güterzuggepäckwagen and Gepäckwagen differences

Better late than never. Güterzuggepäckwagen (Pwg, g like Güterzug) were used somewhat like cabooses/vans. Given the shorter distances, they did not have sleeping facilies. They were the train chief´s office, used to supervise the train, crew compartment, storage for tools and equipment. They usually...
