Re: Bigelov's projects
Finished weathering the Meeker Southern SW9, and what a mess it is! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52090454425_ffee647925_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52090194824_76552e2bbe_c.jpg The best photo's I have of the machine are from 2014 and it looked a mess then! Wonder how it fares no...

Re: Bigelov's projects
Ah, the age old question of pale or red bricks? This link shows a pic of an actual narrow gauge shed (for a Latvian peat line), which I have also used for inspiration for this project. It is from the Russian Narrow Paravoz website https://narrow.parovoz.com/newgallery/pg_view.php?ID=137948&LNG=R...

Re: Bigelov's projects
I have fun making and photographing, so here is a daytime shot. The shed was based on, but modified from, the truck garage in the computer game Spintires/Mud Runner. I have added a background from an in-game screenshot. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52050441412_3fe843361d_c.jpg Here is a scree...

Re: Nanaimo Spring Meet
Bill, As ConducTTor said, the centre frogs should connect electrically to the outer rail. Here is a pic of a 2mm finescale double slip switch I made (in 10.5mm broad gauge, and still on the Templot plan). You can see the cut in the PC board dividing the two halves nicely. Electrically it is very sim...

Re: Bigelov's projects
Hi Ian, My interest and energy for doing the hobby also waxes and wanes. Hence months of quietness from me on the forum here :) But I do try to keep up with what is posted. I progress on a project and get to a point where I am unsure how to proceed on some aspect (I am very much a builder!), so work...

Re: Bigelov's projects
Hi Ian, The question is, are you showing anything at the Albury show this year?? I am not planning on showing the module. I actually don't know the first thing about putting something in a model rail show! But I will be attending. I heard you were at the show last year (from Phil) but our paths did ...

Re: Bigelov's projects
I have been working on my narrow gauge engine shed recently and finally finished the lighting and laying down the first waves of grass. So here is a night shot of it hard at work. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52044086149_f03f8949cf_c.jpg This module is made to be a drop in/removable section f...
