Re: Zeuke-TT, what's new?

Great news! Streamlined diesels are not really my thing, but I can see a couple coming my way. BN or predecessors by any chance? Or undecorated kits? I can also see the EMD bogies and drive mechanism being very useful! For scratchbuilding/powering other models (such as the TT Society GP38-2 and all ...

Re: Bigelov's projects

Things have been going slow for a while now with more energy put into the Whitcomb 65tonner, so not too much to report. I finally did a 3D print for the TGK2 to Dapol conversion. If anyone would like the .stl just message me. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52412633328_e52bf45712_k.jpg I have al...

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

Just got a new Phrozen 4k printer so I will get back to printing! Being a higher resolution I expect even crisper details than previously.

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

I have been slack recently,.. I have finally printed a complete Whitcomb body and it came out well. The detail doesn't have a huge amount of depth, so thin coats of paint are needed. Whitcomb body.JPG Unfortunately the other side was major print fail, so this is for the scrap heap - and time to buy ...

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

I have done a lot of searching for info on Whitcombs but haven't found much text written about the variations/changes over time. If anyone knows of a good source, do speak up! The forum thread on MRH I mentioned has a decent bit of info from member Koala Creek. https://forum.mrhmag.com/post/piko-ann...

Re: Hornby 2022/23

I waded through the RM Web thread, and with over 70 pages of posts there is a lot of words! Much off topic, much complaining about Hornby, rather than actual TT discussion. People arguing over opinions as if they are facts. It seems that incorrect gauge to scale is so normalised that correct scale t...

Re: Bremden Harbor

That's great that you have a part of your grandfather's layout. And building into your layout is an excellent idea! I think a lot of what we do is based around memories and the feelings they conjure up. What you're doing would be called 'adaptive reuse' heritage circles.

Re: Whitcomb 65T centre cab

Well, not sure if it was quick to model, quickness is relative. I know I take a lot of time drawing stuff! But I am mechanically minded and have gotten used to using this program (DesignSpark Mechanical). I have test printed the slot for the LED board and the concept works, but needed some refining ...

Ian, when they redraw the frame, are they going to adapt it suit your bogies?
