Re: They're here!

Wow, that CP car is bright! I can see your leanings towards lemon loads now

Re: Bigelov's projects

I have got the base colours on the SW9 shell. The artwork for the decals has been drawn up, but I still need to get them printed. I know a bloke... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50149676646_2b5a57e5c3_k.jpg While searching around this forum I keep finding interesting stuff. Related to the RS1 ...

Re: SP sugar beet gons in lemon service

That is a very cool load. A very bright load also!

It looks like there is plenty of info out there on the sugar beet gons, so any excuse to build something is a good excuse.

Re: GP38-2 question(s)

From what I have looked at, I think just about every GP loco from 38 upwards had 34' truck centres. This includes the -2 series. Traniax (as MacG posted above) has lots of line drawings for EMD products.

Re: Bigelov's projects

I have finally got some paint on my narrow gauge loco shed. It is not bright white any longer! Maybe not very dark, but I am painting it in a light coloured Russian brick colour, a form of brick that you see quite frequently. It took a while to mix a colour I was happy with but I feel like real prog...

Re: GP38-2 question(s)

The GP38/-2 is longer than the GP35. Distance between bogies 34' for the GP38 against 32' for the GP35. This would be the main issue converting a model, having to shorten the wheelbase. Length over pilots 55' against 51'4" I haven't looked into the detail differences, but the cab and short hood may ...

Re: Bigelov's projects

Thanks for the response guys. I hadn't really thought about sharing the files. There are a lot of them, and not all would suit a generic SW9/1200. Brake cylinders and jack pads should suit all and be the easiest to add. Side tanks would probably suit most (that had this style of tank), but w...

Re: Bigelov's projects

It's been a while. It seems that the 'shortly' I mentioned in my last post has drawn out more than a month... Alex, one of the reoccurring things from photos I was looking at was the jacks. I love technical stuff so those were a must have! Other machinery will also be drawn up and added in due cours...

The last couple of days, when trying to login, I had a "Secure connection failed" error in both Firefox and Chrome. I cant find the gallery to post images, but the Firefox error link sent me here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-connection-failed-firefox-did-not-connect?as=u&utm_source=i...

Re: Bigelov's projects

I haven't been idle over the last few weeks. I was about to post an update when the site was pulled for maintenance. So the loco shed exterior is now complete: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49926138202_935d25f2ba_z.jpg Yes all very white and boring... Need to work on lighting and interior elec...
