Re: Foam for model boxes?

I used some kind of rigid foam that was used to ship avionics gauges to get recertified back in the mid 80s. It had a multi point star shape opening in the center of 6x6 square 2 inches thick. I used it to protect my model airplanes going to shows, just used a razor knife to cut out the cockpit, win...

Re: Modellbahnshop Sebnitz

All my orders from Modelbahnshop Lippe from the last 3 years was a flat shipping rate (26 or 27 euros) and arrived to me in Florida about a week later. It is the only mail order store I ever delt with from overseas. Friendly emails when I changed an item.

Because this is the first time and I want to encourage you, you get half a box car. Next time when someb...

Re: How does TT as an Engineering Scale work?

Being a retired Aerospace Quality Engineer and Metrologist
The answer is yes also tenths ie 0.0001
And in dimensional metrology we calibrate to millionths
(0.000001) and ten millionths (0.0000001) (1 x 10-7)
of an inch

Re: How does TT as an Engineering Scale work?
I do the same but always use the decimal system for imperial units. Like 4.8 inches. The imperial delineations are way too coarse for anything needing accuracy.
4.8 x 10 = 48 feet Let's say its 4.875 inches 4.875 x 10 = 48.75 feet or 0.75 feet x 12 inches = 9 inches Therefore 4.875...
