Russian railway scene

Last week, I got my new steam powered ПК-6 crane. Since I had some time, I couldn't resist to set up a small photo scene:

The crane was made by a former Ukranian small batch manufacturer that has now moved to Moscow. The photo shows this crane loading coal into the tender of a ТЭ steam locomotive. The steam locomotive partly to be seen on the left hand side, mostly covered by the crane, is the same series TO shown in on of my previous postings in this thread.

I was this post on the German board - I initially didn't bother reading, just looked at the picture. Honestly I didn't realize it was a model. You're becoming a master.

Thank you all for the credit! I've just created another scene in a similar style. In October 2014, I bought two tank cars from TT Club. In one of the following photo sessions on my balcony, I took a photo of a small tabletop setting using these tank cars. Afterwards, I somehow forgot about that photo. Recently, I found it on my hard disk, spent some time for the final rendering and added a matching background, for which I combined parts of several industrial photos. The result proves that this photo didn't deserve to be forgotten. The ЧМЭ2 is still a BTTB model from the 1980s. It doesn't meet today's modeling standards but still works for such a photo scene.

I've just finished another scene. The close-up picture shows the excellent quality of the Roco M62. The passenger coach in the background in the paint sceme of the 'Red Arrow (красная стрела)' express train was made by Russian manufacturer Peresvet as a limited edition. While the prototypes of this specific locomotive and the Red Arrow coaches were used in the Moscow-Leningrad region (the October Railway district), the background photo I used for this setting rather looks like from a Southern region of the former Soviet Union. However, the models fit well to this background, and you never know what might have happened in reality.

I'm one of the few lucky guys that got the chance to buy one of the Russian Эм steamers, Peresvet made this year as a limited edition. After it had arrived, I could hardly wait to set up a small photo scene.

Hey Jorn, that's pretty cool. What do you think of the model itself? How did Peresvet do? Have you had a chance to test how it runs?
