Roco prices

Postby ConducTTor » Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:15 pm

Has anyone noticed how much Roco prices have dropped lately? I hope they're not just blowing out inventory to drop tt :(

I'm miffed though because I bought all the models I was interested in when they were full price. Dang it.

Like this for example http://www.eurotrainhobby.com/roco-dies ... p11984c218 . I paid 135 EURO for it :wall:

My impression from reading about world economy is that depression is at hand, and you're seeing the first signs of it.

Sucks even more if you're not in the U.S.A.

USA's not immune. It's a world economy these days. As far as I'm concerned, if a nation gets by easy when there's turmoil, it's plain luck.

And if the nation is causing the turmoil? It still sucks more if you're not in the U.S. Why else would Roco drop prices?

I don't know if it's dropping prices across all its lines or just TT.

Or the glass half full approach says they're clearing the shelves of old inventory to make way for a next generation of product. This happens in many industries nowadays as the pace of technological change excellerates. Warehouse square footage is very expensive.

I hope that's the case.

This is another killer price for what is one of the best made TT models of all time http://www.eurotrainhobby.com/roco-stea ... /p8429c218 . Again, I spent MUCH more on mine

It looks like the Euro is super low right now - 1.06 as well as the Pound - 1.47

US modelers are snapping up stuff at these good rates. I'm looking at a Sprog right now.
