Roco close coupler fix

Roco close coupler fix

Postby anotherTTnut » Fri Sep 24, 2010 8:02 pm

Had some work done today on my Roco waggons to finally run them on the track without getting derailed or coming undone. I just used a Dremel with the smallest size grinding wheel I had available, you just have to run it slow and have a steady hand.... After the fix, I exchanged all coupler for the Kuehn moder with the little holder on the bottom to prevent the waggons from coming undone. That seems to work, if you what bullet proof connection for a rough layout, the old style BTTB seems to still do the trick  Only problem: no close coupling  I will post some pictures for comparison shortly. Hope the pictures are self explaining :geek:

another problem to fix, Roco`s close couplings tend to hang down.....

BTTB style is just too old school. Mainly due to the distance between buffers. The buffers getting crossed is pretty much standard for Roco - I'm curious if this occurs with their own couplers.
