Roco BR 18 201 Red model 36027

Roco BR 18 201 Red model 36027

This is the red version of Roco's BR 18 201.

The model is fantastic. Detail, paint and, mechanics are first rate. By the way, it was manufactured in Slovakia (think Mehano Blue Tiger) so I'm not surprised at all.

Drive and electronics are in the tender and accept a NEM651 decoder.

Electrical pickup is from the 6 drive wheels. Lighting is 3 forward only lights on both ends.

I have 4 other Roco locomotives and this is the quietest of all.

The manual is pretty good with a lot of diagrams and 3 languages - German, French and, - are you ready? - English.

Comes with a small bag of detail parts.

The only gripe is that the supplied coupler is Roco's N scale version. Not really a problem but are there no standards in tt?

If you've thought about getting this model, stop thinking and do it - it's awesome!

For someone who isn't really into european railways I have to say that this model is fantastic, no doubts to me that I agree with Alex that this must rate as the best TT locomotive ever (so far). This can only be good for the scale in general to see such a great product.
As it comes straight out of the box I am even more delighted that Roco are pushing the boundaries to such a high standard

One small correction, not related to the model itself - Mehano is from Slovenia, not from Slovakia.
