Nice thinking, but I have concerns that if Terry says those names at school, and someone mishears him, that it could be trouble for him, due to that "zero tolerance" crap at school.

They have names now:

The mostly black one, a wether, is named Gumdrop, and the mostly white one, a doeling, is named Peppermint.

My wife has expressed on many occasions how much she would like to have a goat as a pet, but local city ordinances prohibit keeping farm animals within city limits, and unfortunately, goats are on the list of defined farm animals. Not sure why that list doesn't include ducks, which is probably why our six Muscovy ducks haven't been a problem (yet). Maybe since ducks are also wild animals in these parts, they can't be classified as farm animals.

I think having different types of animals as pets is especially good for kids, and can help teach them to appreciate all animals. However, I draw the line at some animals that can become invasive pests if they are released by careless animals. In South Florida, pythons have become a prime example of this, along with many other types of reptiles, including Iguanas, which are currently overrunning our neighborhood.

Here is a fitting seasonal picture of Butterscotch, our newest doeling, at almost 2 months old:

That is a Silkie chicken on top of Peppermint the goat, next to Butterscotch the goat.

Nah... We do not have a Groundhog, nor do we want one, as they tend to cause time loops on February 2nd.
