PRR electric locomotive in New Jersey ...from Europe

Postby Arseny » Wed Mar 04, 2020 6:48 am

In October 2019 New Jersey Transit (NJT) announced its own entry into the popular “heritage locomotive” program in the US. A vinyl wrap was applied to two locomotives, representing liveries of two NJT predecessors – the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) and Erie Lackawanna Railway (EL). ALP-46A 4636 was chosen to receive the PRR wrap, and ALP-45DP 4519 got the EL wrap.

The Bombardier ALP-46 is an electric locomotive built in Germany by Bombardier between 2001 and 2002 for use in the United States. It is derived from the German Class 101.

BR101 is available in TT :)

Nice idea for kitbashing, I beleive

Hmm that's a cool wrap. I'm glad they didn't go all black - too boring.
