I would not trust too much for the manufacturer's recommendation. I saw many models from leading manufacturers and their methods of oiling or greasing. :boohoo:
The whole gearbox with high quality construction plastic gears (delrin or similar) was filled with silicon grease or the motors with sinter bronze bearings were swimming in oil. These are the biggest mistakes on recent models. The bronze bearing do not need any oil, the internal parts of the motor even less.
Also the greasy plastic gears (delrin and Co) are performing better without a grease.
