Heard a rumor of a possible southern California opportunity for a TT modular layout.

Around Halloween time frame.

Mike has socialized the idea with some (as yet) unindicted co-conspirators...

Yes - I spent a morning with a few from Southern California who know all the events and the module clubs - and the places to exhibit. One was mentioned, in a very fuzzy description, as a group that wants one module layout in "each scale".

I have no definite contact info, and all I heard is that "they" might be interested in a TT module layout.

Two day show, and you still have to pay 9 bucks to see the botanic garden (but don't have to).

It's called "Freight Fright" - a take off on the Halloween theme - and it is in the newsletter :

An older newsletter, with a view of the hall:

It's an NMRA event (Richard and I are members), but I still think we would have to "mooch" our way on board.
It's up to the LA guys to let us in. But the ones I met last week were great guys.

For those of you outside California, Halloween is the second largest holiday in California, in terms of money spent. Only Christmas is bigger.

The web page says 'The finest modular clubs will be represented.' So that could include TT Tracks, since it is the only TT scale modular layout in N. America.

The newsletter contained a flyer for the Freight Fright show 2016 which had the email address of the organizer. I have sent him a note asking about the possibility of exhibiting TT Tracks.

TT Tracks has been accepted for the Freight Fright show 28-29 October 2017. Who wants to go?

Count me in - How about a 3 meter long module?

We may need to bring tables?

It's a long walk from BC...
Who might wander down to the 52nd State? ("Southern" California...)

First we need to know who is going and what the TT Tracks layout will be. Then we can figure out the logistics of the exhibit. The LA show is the weekend following our show in Chilliwack BC, which might complicate things. I'm pitching it by saying the Chilliwack show is a rehearsal for LA, and the LA show might make up for a no-show VTE here in November.
