Here is a commercial that I really like, and the intro is pretty neat as well.
This is a commercial for the first model year Ford Aerostar, in 1985.

Not for the car (though there's nowt wrong with a VW!), just cracks me up every time.

In all honesty, I was not too excited about getting a van initially, but the Aerostar we have now was the only vehicle that we found suitable for what we wanted and was in great shape and cost less than $2,000. (Actually I paid $1,500 for our 1993 model about 5 years ago).

Once I got to test drive it, I became excited, as the Aerostar, when equipped with the 4.0L V6, is quite quick and agile. We put ours through hell quite a bit, and so far it has been:
1.) Jumped multiple times
2.) Put onto two wheels at a shallow angle "skiing"
3.) Put into water deep enough to bring water into the cabin twice.
4.) Pushed to 115-120 MPH twice, both times bringing Nicholle to the hospital. The first time was too late to prevent Nicholle from miscarrying, and the second was due to injuries sustained when she was 8 3/4 months pregnant with Terry. She started bleeding almost immediately after the ambulance left her at the scene of the accident (neighbor slammed into her truck) due to them claiming that she was faking contractions and pain. Terry's umbilical cord had become wrapped around his neck as a result of the accident - I was told by her doctor that if I had not rushed Nicholle to the hospital, or had delayed 5 minutes, Terry would have died in the womb.

Even after all that hard driving and abuse, the van has only needed a new alternator, and that was due to the water and sediment wrecking the bearings in the alternator.
And right now it is sitting at almost 250,000 miles on the clock.

That is why the both of us love our Aerostar, and also some of the reasons why I hate being stationed here.
