TTnut.com Stickers

Well, we found a deal on stickers online that we had to try out.

The problem was that there is not a currently available high-resolution TTnut.com logo. So I went and tried my hand at the logo for the stickers and here is the result:

Alex, if you dislike the stickers, I will simply toss these in the trash, as I have very little invested in them.

But the idea ...

AstroGoat and CaTTwoman's 3'x6' TT Layout

The underlying platform for the intermediate-size TT layout that we mentioned in other threads has been put together. It is 38" wide and 6 feet long, or just over 3 feet by 6 feet in size.

Here is the designed layout track plan:

V36 in the US!

https://www.rangierdiesel.de/index.php?nav=1406157&id=31838&action=portrait

So it seems the US Army took a V36. numbered "L 21339" from Europe back to the US in late 1945 and demonstrated for government and industry representatives at Fort Monroe, VA in 1946. From there it went to Camp Patrick Henry, VA for further testing until 1948, when it went to the Army Transportation School at Fort Eustis, VA, and finally scrapped in 1952.

Forum updates and availability

Hey gang, the software the site is running on is due for a major update. Through the years I've only done a few updates and they've been relatively minor so I've mainly done them on the fly. This is a pretty big revision (we've basically been running on the same software for our entire decade+ existence) and I'll have to shut it down and completely rebuild it. Soo Line Steam Question

With my pending work on painting some old HP steamers to be Soo Line locomotives, I have come to a sticking point:

What colour do I paint the smokebox?

I have seen pictures of dark grey smokeboxes, black smokeboxes, and silver smokeboxes?

Which is the more correct option?

Thanks,

James
