New wooden boxcar

New wooden boxcar

Well, Russia and Ukraine got some military aid from USA during World War I, and lend-lease during World War II.
Now there is time for TT-aid from Russia and Ukraine to USA and Canada!
I want to introduce you wooden boxcar, made by RailTT, Ukraine. 8-)
As Marquette told me, it is USRA single-sheathed boxcar clone.

As it is, the model is correct for Canadian National 500500-503499 series
(3000 cars built) and Algoma Central 3101-3200 series (100 cars built) of
boxcars, as well as the Chicago Burlington & Quincy XM-23 class
(130250-134250 series). In each case, though, the handbrake would have to
be changed to a vertical staff style. Easily modellable would be the CN
464000-464999 series, by simply adding another vertical rib in the middle
of the ends.

There are many other cars with similar sides, but those all have pressed
steel ends, which would require a significant kitbash to achieve. Using
the ends available from the Gold Coast 1937 AAR kit (that end type is
called a "4/5 Dreadnaught"), you could accurately model a car of either
Pacific Electric 2700-2899 series (class B-50-13) or Southern Pacific
18880-19079 series (class B-50-13). Any other car would require
scratchbuilding the ends.

But manufacturer made the ATSF and NP versions...

The price is $24,90 (and add the shipping cost).
For today manufacturer produced very few models, but if somebody have an interest in it, it's possible to resume the production.

The couplers are BTTB-style, it would be necessary to perform some adaptation work if you want to use Kadee...

P.S. And it is not 1 April joke! :naughty:

If you want, I can order some for you.
(But tell, do you want RTR cars, or unpainted ones, or unassembled kits. The price for unassembled kit will be lower approx. by 2 Euro.)

Or you can order directly on railtt.ucoz.ua
(I do not know, if they have Paypal or something else like this. I've paid them money via money transfer system)

Thanks. I'll try directly from the source so I don't waste your time. If it fails I'll bug you :)

So, Alex - I went to their website but don't know any Russian; the photos look great, I clicked on Buy Here and hit a dead end. I couldn't see anything that looked like an email link, either. I would get several cars if there was a way to pay for them and shipping was not prohibitive. Maybe others would be interested too. Any help?
TIA - Gerhard

You are to send email to RailTT if you want to order something.
Email address: inkvizitor@irpin.com
Nikolay can read and speak English.

As for payment - you can pay via Moneygram or some other money tranfer system (like Western Union, etc.)
Nikolay does not have Paypal account, so if you want to use Paypal only, you can pay to me, and I'll send your money to Nikolay, but it will cost some additional %%...
