I wish I could fly to Germany and see all these great models in person!

Thanks and thank you Alex! For the chassis see here one page before. I haven't used etched grills. It is only a light sanded shell from shapeways with five thin layers paint. I will post better photos soon.

When you will see the models: Saving for a flight ticket, we will find a place, to spend the nights!

That is one thing I have to do before I die, visit Germany! I am researching my family history, and my great great grandfather came here in 1889. I haven't been able to find where he came from yet, I think I have a distant cousin in Dossenheim (at least I hope he is related!), and I want to see if I can find out where I am from. And I can meet all the great German TT modellers too!

ML-4000 in paint

Sounds good, but I have too few time. I'm my own boss, so I have to work.

Here some pictures from the ML-4000 in SP paint. The bloody nose N-decals from Microscale doesn't fit. We try the H0 next one. It is still only the Shapeways-body - no etched parts. The number of the unit will be the 9021 or 9103. It is a former D&RGW one. See the shape of the nose.

Wow - a LOT of sanding there. Looks really good

Nope, only a light sanding. See at the pictures with primer. I think it was three to five strockes each with the sandpaper (grit 800). No extensive work.
