Got an email from Shapeways stating that there has been an overwhelming response to the new material and that they are at capacity. Translation: backlogged and behind. My items are still "in production".

Today I've received an email from UPS. I hope the parcel contains the FUD parts an not and later order in BSF.

If you go to your Shwys account you can look at the status of your orders and see which one is "in production" and which one is not so you will know what you have coming.

The FUD parts arrived!
The surface on straight parts is very smooth! The material is a bit flexible if you use it for shells, on other thicker parts strong enough.

Cool! I just got an email saying mine won't be shipped until the 20th :(

Does it have that "soft" feel like the detail material?

I've got these email too, but 2 hours later an email that my order from May 1st, 2011 is in production.
Todays parcel contained the ordered parts from April 22nd, 2011.

The parts have the "soft" feel like the detail material!
