New Chassis for Shapeways Dash9, SD70AC, AC4400, M630 ...

Hello People,

I had some time to start a new project-Chassis for Shapeways models!
I made a metal prototype for a Dash9, SD70AC and AC4400!
In the appendix you can find some pictures of a Shapeways model of a AC4400 and dash 9-44.
The chassis also goes for a SD70ACe....

Looks really good Micha. Is there enough space for a sound decoder? The heat of this isn't good for the shapeways material. I miss the third axle at the trucks :wtf:

Hello, this is a prototype, there may be parts missing and yes, the new construction have place at the tank for a H0 ESU soundselect decoder (pink color!)!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Does the frame accommodate different truck centers? (as the GEs and EMD are different...)
What gearing components will you use?

The trucks look like a 2-axle Tillig truck, with an additional gap for a middle axle.

Hi Richard,

Yes the base frame has different dimensions and can therefore be adapted to the loco type.
The bogie is a 3achs. of Tillig. The middle axis was not installed for testing!

The new rosters SD70, Dash9... have the same bogie/drive as my SD40/SD45, so they have the same speed!
