My new toy and project

This is so frustrating - here there is a new car, when we so badly need some variety in TT, and with all the effort that goes into making it, it could so easily be more correct.
My nit-pick: the door on the model looks narrower than on the prototype - ?
Btw, looking at A&D's other offerings, he seems to be partial to Canadian roads.
Still, I'm not as picky as some others, and it *is* a 1954-55 build, so just for variety, I could see myself getting one.

What are you guys all talking about? I thought this topic was about Rob M's projects.

Rob, really nice tender! I have often thought about how cool it would be to have a nice Big Boy or Challenger in TT scale.

My thoughts were rather how cool it would be to have nice tenders for my Challenger and Big Boy
I have not even started assembling the Big Boy because of the tender.

Re that CP boxcar... can't really tell but perhaps it's a Canadian NSC-3 end.

Stay on topic. If you want to talk about A&D projects then talk about it A&D's thread.

Since this is a dead topic it really doesn't mater what is discussed.

Hi Rob,

Just to let you know my interest in this topic is still alive and well. I haven't been doing much with my Sherline this past season since the house project has been number one priority. But as the weather is starting to turn colder I'll be spending more time in the shop. I'm still contemplating building that plastic injection machine. Plus hopefully next year I'll have enough saved up to purchase a Full Spectrum Laser to see if I can make some wooden kits, both buildings and rail cars.

In the works right now is the design and scratchbuild of a TT scale Class A Climax. Have been working on the trucks. Also in process is a logging diorama in TT scale that I'm hoping to write an article about and have published in one of the three leading railroad magazines, RMC, RMH, and MR. If the first diorama is a success I have a second one in the wings. At present I'm working on converting either HOn30 or HOn3 archbar trucks since I'll need some logging cars. And speaking of logging cars I'm looking into resin casting them once designed.

Hey Alex, any chance of getting back into the molding section I was in before? Thanks.
