My new toy and project

Yep, it would be easy to change chassis length and the position of the truck pivots. What I'm hoping for is a basic design that can be used for almost anything with just a few changes.

A little more progress. The transfer case is done and the mounts for it too. If I didn't order the wrong worms I could probably have the trucks done today as well. I don't think it will need to have any wieght added to it. Without the gears, it weighs 4.67 oz.

They are NWSL 1630D-9 motors, and everything else is from them also.

It’s alive!

Got my gears yesterday and was able to get the trucks machined. They still need a little tweaking but it was nice to put some power to it finally. The drive shafts pop out when the trucks turn so I'm going to see if I can make some deeper cups for the u-joints.

A little more progress. Ended up going with wipers on top of the wheels for the electrical pickup, seems to work pretty good. Mostly just needs the side frames now, and see if I can lower the body somehow.
