My dream TT layout . . .

one of 'em, anyway.

Wisconsin (BB-64) berthed at Pier 4 East of the Leonardo Pier Complex at the Naval Weapons Station, Earle, NJ, during 10-13 March 1990 to on-load ammunition.

The railroad at the complex consists of 130 miles of track, nine locomotives and 520 pieces of rolling stock.

One day it might make an add-on to show modules?

That sure would make an interesting add on module. No worry about adding vegetation.

Vegetation . . . that is an advantage ;-)

I'm reading more: at least two SW1200's stationed there.

Big complex, four piers, extend 2 miles into the bay, three piers form a "trident" shape, pretty interesting.

Oh man that would be pretty easy to make! Perfect as a module. You can then extend the rail around the room with a loop at the end and have a simple but fully functional railroad.

Yeah, 7'-4.7" long 'ship . . . at least it would fit on an eight-foot module!

Besides no vegetation, no railroad ties, either. All track embedded in concrete.

Love that track layout! Someone really thought about easy operation. What's also interesting is that all the boxcars still look like they have running boards on the roofs.

That's it, same location. The trident shape. Although . . . today I spotted an easier location to model, closer to land and with a lot of trees. The track enters the pier under a roadway and exits the other end, also under a roadway. On stage-off stage.
