An interesting video.

The web site is well worth visiting as well. Some interesting ideas on legs and a complete description of building a module.

And now let's make something like this, but following American prototypes...

It is in progress. We work with FKTT-norm to build NA-modules, new module ends are developed.
Lok-n-Roll.de - we send worldwide

I would love to start something like this but don't have the construction skills yet.

If you look at the forest module being built, the module is a very well constructed kit. Everything is cut to size. It looks like some pieces are laser cut. There are dados where needed, etc. Alignment holes are drilled where needed. There is a jig to make sure the track is in the right location. PC Tie end plates are available, etc.

At the moment I have access to none of that.

The finished modules appear to be strong, square and light.
For full sized module I can currently build solid, heavy, squarish modules.
I want something better for TT-Scale.

Hey Bill,

Hope to see you at the show in Vancouver this weekend. CSD & I have a surprise for the guys attending

As for the modules, I recall that you can buy a kit of your choice on EBay Germany that comes with all the parts needed and you have to assemble. I will dig up on that again and let you know at the show.

Looking forward to the show

The kit idea is interesting if the shipping charges are not too high.

I will be working in the store Saturday so will not be in the hall.

I will be there Sunday helping out with various show activities. I will be making time to come over to the TT-Scale area and hope to have a few finished hopper cars to show.

Really? I would be interested if the shipping costs aren't astronomical.

Ok, here is the website link for the company that makes commercially available module kits for TT scale. I have seen the stuff on EBay before, I should send them an email an find out what shipping would be. They do sell metal jigs and so on to make multiple sets. Maybe that's the way to go.....

Thx for the link. There's a discussion on tt-board about US specific modules. Not sure if they use the same criteria.
