Model Boats

Postby RodTT » Fri Mar 29, 2019 11:10 am

Couldn't see a topic specifically on boats so I opened this. I was vaguely considering a harbour scene on a potential future layout and found this 1:108 scale tug boat. It's on ebay UK but I daresay it can be found elsewhere.
The red and brown boats seem to be the same boat in different colours:

Some described as 1:120 scale:

I think that the closest topics to cover boats have been my scratchbuilding thread, specifically from 2012, when I built a pair of Jon boats in TT Scale and some sort-of goofy looking powerboat: angrysailor-s-40-boxcar-construction-photos-t445-30.html?hilit=scratchbuilt as well as my thread on my desire to make a model Naval base in TT scale for my traveling modules: tt-scale-navy-yard-t1460.html?hilit=Navy%20Base

I am contemplating using some 1:144 models, specifically of submarines on my modules, which can be modified as "water-line models", specifically I want to model the USS Thresher (SSN-593) and the USS Scorpion (SSN-589).

First of all, try to find tugboats and barges made by Noch, they are good for TT.

Also, try to search some old models in 1:125, 1:128 and 1:130 scales.

Not to mention...

No doubt there are many other card offerings around that can be scaled to TT.
