Yes, I agree - but unfortunately it's way down on my wife's list!

LOL. Just call it the "crafts room" and she may go for it.

Finally, after approaching three months of being stored and unusable in a bedroom, Naples Street is now in its new environment in the newly converted garage. Only just enough room in the corner I've grabbed, and the fiddle yard will stick out into the doorway a bit when in use - but the space is mine, all mine I tell you! And as I have a computer desk and all sorts of clutter in there as well I can't complain!

So now I can resume work on the 8-inch extension I started. This also means I have to lengthen the lighting pelmet and acrylic storage cover too, but there's plenty time till its next show in September. Though by then I hope to have motorised the Lionel GP9 I bought and re-decaled a boxcar too.

I think I see a little more space on the right. Just move that stuff a bit ;)

The extension is all but done. I have a low relief industrial building to make which I may put at the back in the corner.
In the making...

Is the roughly half-scale model aeroplane on show at the engineers' a step too far..?

Just six days to the layout's next show here in the UK.
Here's my newly motorised GP9 with a boxcar that has been re-decaled.

An interior I added to one of the building entrances.

And a view along nearly the whole layout. The new 8-inch extension is at the far end.

Some detail from the new extension.

Rod - looks really great.
Perhaps a tall tree in the corner behind the caravan to shade the occupants so they don't cook in summer?
There's nothing like a warehouse full of timber for that next modelling project.
