So, anyone? Please? I can't figure out how to get it apart, and I don't want to break it...

It should be pretty standard - pull the shell sides out and lift up. I haven't taken mine apart though so I'm not 100% sure. I would look around for pictures of one that's apart so you can see what clips the shell on or ask the tt-board gang.

What The boss said. Pull out the sides at one end and give it a little shake so it falls out. Then do the same with the other. Best to do it over a soft surface. The fit is a little tight, hence the shake.

Marquette, I received the package of Dapol couplers today. Good news for you!
At first blush they work good. They can be placed in standart NEM-shaft, so you can use it on your M62.
And they can work with the Kadee couplers! I tested few cars, it seems to me that it works not ideally, but it works!
(Maybe I have a bad copy of the device).
I must perform more testing to say with confidence, but in 75% of times it coupled with Kadee well, but sometimes it did not want...
Also it did not want to work with my Micro-Trains couplers, I do not know why... Maybe I did something wrong.

But I think you can put it on your M62 and use with Kadee couplers!

It is great for me, because I can use BR218 and Nohab as power units for Alco FA and SD45 without problems with couplings!
