Ordered the Roco version. We'll see what can be done!

That's a wise choice (in terms of model quality).

Yeah, I had a chance to look at both Roco and Tillig last time CSD was here - the Roco is far nicer. Hopefully it'll be more suitable for fitting with MT couplers than the Tillig appears to be. Failing that, I can always try Accumates, and inquire amongst N-scaler friends as regards options...

Well, I've finally received my M62. Very glad I opted for the Roco version. Not only is it lovely, but it looks like a very simple job to convert it to Microtrains couplers!

Now just need to get the decal artwork finished so I can have them printed up, and paint the thing. I hope to have it done by the show.

Maybe try to use new Dapol couplers?
Then you can simply put them into the NEM shafts without any job...

That raises two things - one a question, the other an observation.

Are they compatible with the MT couplers?

MT couplers are easily available to me, I just go to the store and get some.

Also... I just looked at their website and don't see any such things?

Thanks, Arseny.

6 quid a pair isn't cheap. From the description, it eems to be an MT close operations-wise.

Another question is the size - are they right for TT? The MT couplers are almost bang on for TT scale.

As it stands, about the only advantage I see to these is the ability to stick them into NEM pockets.

Has anyone tested these for compatibility with MT or Kadee HOn3 couplers? If they're compatible, it may be worth getting some, but if not, I'm not sure the NEM compatibility is enough for me to opt for these over MT...

I GUESS they are compatible with the MT and I guess they are just in size for TT.
But I am not 100% sure.
You can test it. ;)

Bevis R W King told in the Yahoo group that their previous plastic version was compatible with Micro-trains couplers.

I do not suggest to refuse the MT couplers. But I think it would be a good decison for the European stuff, especially for the locomotives, like your M62.
If they are compatible, you can use Dapol on the locomotives with the NEM-shafts and Micro-Train on any other stuff.
