LOCO 2 Axle Box Cars

Loco is a maker of mostly Czech/Slovak train cars. The detail and paint on these models is very fine and crisp. The cars tend to sit a little lower than the Tillig units making coupler alignment a bit touchy. Polarity on the wheel set has to be maintained as the metal wheel clips can short on the weight.

Note: Some of these models pictured below have been weathered. They do not come weathered.

Very nice models, indeed. Very hard to find in the US. The company used to manufacture some items for TT-CLUB BERLIN and MODELLAGENTUR MICHAEL TILLIG. All the models are limited editions and are considered collector's items. Worth every penny. The height can be changed by simply replacing the wheels (the company uses 7,95 mm) to 8.5 mm ones from Tillig or MODMUELLER. Some freight cars from Tillig have the same problem with the metal clips that are used for better rolling purposes of the wheels which on the inside if no plastic floor devides them, are touching the metal piece in the center of the vehicle that serves the purpose of a weight. If metal wheels with one side insulated only (the use of plastic bearings; shaft), both wheels should be installed facing the same direction, if both wheels are insulated on the same axle, direction for installation does not matter.
