Krauss Maffei ML-4000

Krauss Maffei ML-4000

Some of you know my project with the Shapeways ML-4000 model.
See her for rolling chassis, with primer und with base paint.

I got not from this designer a permission to build a small series of kits with this model.

For blueprints and a permission, I have directly contacted KM (now Siemens Mobility) and got an okay.
A designer has sketched a new 3D model. The plan is, to let print a master, refine with some etched parts und duplicate in resin. Some sidewalls I will leave open for the builders choice, to build it without or with the late lower air intakes.

Here is a first test print out of a FormLabs Form 2 printer.

It is still a long way before it is ready to sell.

Thank you for your reactions!

@Richard-B: Beautiful photos! The second is totally new to me. Your recording? The first picture shows the prototype of the model. I took the model with the nose from the D&RGW. Because it can be painted in more than two variants.

Delete for riveter counters the first of the list. This was the variant built for SP, with a different nose.

I have the original paint schemes from KM. But today is a few months too early, to think about decals. There are more complicated building places, which must be solved.
