Regarding the seminar... let me prepare something and let me see how I could work in some live demonstration on my layout and then I will come back with a date and official invitation.

Is there anything (resistors?) you're adding to the locomotives and cars?

The S-88 module is feeding one rail with power and reads the difference when a loco or any car with light or a resistor is rolling through it.
So for train I'm pulling, the engine is doing to job to signal when it enters a block and the computer knows where to stop it.
In case of a train pushing I have to make sure, that the first car has either lights or a resistor axle running so that it gets detected.

Here the train on the left

This is working very well for me.
If you have issue for the detection or kind of flickering on a sensor, then you can define some buffer time in Train Controller to even that out, like setting the sensor active for always X second after it got activated.

Adding a power feeding car to my little Switcher

Postby knuddelfisch » Fri Jul 12, 2013 11:47 am

Hey guys,

I added a little "How To" to my Facebook page.
I always had trouble with my small/short switchers running over all the switches and getting stuck somewhere.
Running the layout automatically with the Computer made that a no-go for my little switchers, so I had to do some changes to make to power supply more stable!

Here are some pictures and an AVI with the smoothly running Koe II:

And here are the links to the pictures and AVI:

Have fun watching and replicating if you need this too!
Wish you guys a nice weekend!

Neat. There is this (http://krois-modell.com/produkt/stkupp/) outfit that also makes a plug coupler in TT. I was thinking about getting them for my passenger trains.

Cool, great idea!! I have to check them out and see how easy they can be plugged in!
The only thing is that they are pretty price with 11Euro and you are pretty limited with the cars you can couple. But if you have a setup which you are not going to change, then these coupler are pretty handy!

HI folks,

this week I had a couple of fun test runs with my layout.
I recorded one of those with one cam over viewing the layout at the top and one within the shadow station.
I figured also, that run away cars can make up for good crashes... ;-) And that you better stay focused when that happens on a computer controlled layout...  :wall:
