Keuhn vs Tillig

I decided to use Tillig because of wide assortment of their switches (in addition, I needed curved switches).
But I like Kuehn. Hope they'll produce some more switches!

Just received the Keuhn start pack and gotta say i like it alot. looks much better then the tillig track and my European stock runs great over it. It comes with enough track to give you a small ready made layout. My only problem is with the gp38 wheel flange size. when it hits the turnouts it bumps up quite a bit. so i will have to see if the wheels are changeable or maybe try to sand down the frogs on the turnouts. special thanks to Rob and Rich.

 It's good track. Now if they would only make the shallower turnout available....

Might be worth checking the back to back measurement on the GP38-2. If everything else runs through Ok I would guess the geeps probably out of gauge.

Has anyone heard as to when the wider radii Keuhn turnouts will be available?

It should be in the next two months. It was announced on January 31 that it will be available in the spring.

I will be patient. I just want to get rolling on my permanent layout sometime this year.

Keuhn 10-degree turnouts

The much-anticipated Keuhn 10-degree turnouts are now up on the Keuhn web site: http://www.kuehn-digital.de

These all-new WL-10 and WR-10 turnouts have a frog angle of 10°...
which makes them just a small amount wider than an NMRA #6 (9.527° RP-12.33)...
It should be noted that the inside curved track radius is 758mm (29.843 in),
which is also slightly wider than the NMRA #6 (25.538 in).

The Keuhn track system uses 1.8mm rail... ~ equivalent to Code 70 (0.07086)

And the turnouts are at several shops on stock. I haven't ordered yet, but I should do it.

At Facebook is a photo of both.
