For the windows... I haven't tried it myself, but Microscale's Kristal Klear might be an option? The info on their website says it'll work for windows up to about 1/4" in size... maybe should work on the FA?

It could work, see RAILNSCALE tips. One hint for great windows: you can use a sticky tape (original TESA) from outside and fill Micro Krystal Klear from the inside into the window. Here a etchIT Manual in German. There is no in English. :(

I have a technique I came up with. I use double sided transparent tape, stretch it across the window opening from the outside. burnish to assure the tape is sealed well. Spray any color paint from the inside, solidly covering the tape (again, from the inside).

After dried, remove tape and lay it on your clear plastic with the unsprayed sticky side. I like the thin clear plastic stuff used in vacuum formed packaging materials. Cut out pieces where the plastic is very flat. Cut out the widow by going right up to the painted edge. Glue the window inside the window opening with Future by Pledge, or with canopy glue. Make it inset, or flush, whichever is appropriate.

I also like to thin windshield openings on diesel models by scraping from the inside with a sideways motion of a knife blade. Keep moving back-and-forth until the window "shelf" gets within a few thousandths of the target. Any cab can get a "Thin Wall" appearance this way, and the price is right!

Hey thanks Andy, doing windows is something I dread. Perhaps your method will make it easier.

Hi, Lok-n-Roll developed a window kit for his Alco's. I think, it could already help to solve the problem with the older kits. Please mail him directly, if you are interested. Have fun, Jörg

I somehow missed this post with the Lok-n-Roll windows. That's what I need. Thanks.
