We are good for a 7PM Friday setup.
The BCSME has 30" wide tables so I will bring the plan for that size.

If I am not mistaken, the location is in North Burnaby, by Confederation park. This is relatively close to my place. Does anybody need a ride from me? I can pick up one person (folded back seats...) from the Brentwood skytrain or, Uber-like, from any other location.
I am bringing:
  • my unfinished modules
  • Bjoern's modules, except the baseball field
  • a long extension cord
  • the banner.
Is there anything I should pack? Also, are we going the use Terry's black Z21, or should I bring my white one?

I'll bring the Z21 but it may be a good idea to bring yours for both Burnaby and Indianapolis as backup.

Thinking about the space and what we were setting up I wondered if a 24' display would fit, so I made a plan for a shorter display. It was a good thing I did. The 24' displays fit because they have angled corners. Our display has square corners so had less room for the public to get around the corners. The shorter display gives more room for the public.

This is what we plan to setup.

Notice I said plan. I forgot one box of modules. I will be bringing it tomorrow morning. We had enough modules to fudge the setup.

We tested the display with my Digitrax system first to make sure all the cables I made were OK and then switched to the Z21 for running. Except that my SW1200 had problems, and there is a dead section on the inner main on Tibis middle module, all ran well. The reversing section works perfectly with the Dual Frog Juicer.

We went for dinner after we shut down, then home.
I will be in there early tomorrow morning, before work, to install the missing modules. Tibi is checking his wiring this evening. My new modules still need work, back fascias and more scenery, but all are usable.

Our display is in the station at a miniature railway. The British Columbia Society of Model Engineers are good hosts who know Bill Dixon well and take interest in our TT. They gave us each a free ride on their outdoor trains over a layout which covers a few acres.

I was extremely tired from being up all night so I wasn't much help Saturday, but I had the satisfaction of seeing my E95 loco running after a few years of being out of commission. And had the disappointment of seeing that Roco couplers were completely inadequate. Back to Kuehn.

One new feature is Bjoern's Alco which comes with built in non-electronic sound effects.

Sunday the miniature railway had a steam locomotive running, shown in one photo.
We had an unexpected assistant. Jayden is six years old. His father runs the trains on the miniature railway. In the morning Jayden on his own got the diesel locomotives out of the shed and ready to run for the day. Then he ran our layout.

Other photo shows Tibi explaining to a visitor how MTB switch motors work. TT trains at a show always create interest.

Guys, who has the photo with the Z21 along with the various devices we used to control it?
