Thanks! Lately i started some research for get ridd of problems on the layout with the liabillity of the trains running. I am very interested if any of you guys ever build stuff like this.

Jake, I make my own (wheel)axle wipers from solder sucking wick. I clean it with 99% Isopropyl alcohol before I wrap it around an axle, solder it to some wire and fix it with superglue to the truck.
I'm using a lot of capacitors in my locos and cars. Peho sells magnetic couplers with wires to bring power to the whole train. But I haven't tried it yet.

I REALLY like the idea of adding caps in a car. I have 1 loco that can really use this.

I ordered by internet several types of powercaps and tandal capacitators. When the stuff arrive i will try to make a start with the powerpack-plan for all the small Loco's with few contact wheels and hope to give you all a good update for this:)
