Very nice Dave, I'll send all my SWs on over so you can put metal handrails on them.

I have another PRR switcher to do which will probably burn me out on these :>) They are not hard but are tedious. I'm looking forward to getting back to laying track. .....DaveB

" I only have 10 of them"

There's probably enough of these around to make it worth someone making etched handrails, drop steps, and sunshades. There was a stainless steel set floating around for the Lionel GP7 years ago, something similar for the MTB switcher would make it a lot easier to install the rails......DaveB

Don't have a set now, I sold it with a Lionel body and drive kit. IIRC I got it from Elmer McKay who used to sell TT kits. I'm sure some one who can tell you more will read this.....DaveB

Carsten did these, they are beautiful! He offered them through Elmer, The date on the package was May of '04, so it's been a while!
It includes the handrails, an etched deck with side sills, battery box covers, grilles, etc..

Didn't get a horn with my loco so I made one up from a brass nail and some wire, added a brass mounting plate and it will work. Also added some brass screen spark arrestors to the stacks and some simulated piping to the fuel tanks. I think that's all the details so I can start on finish painting and weathering. Here's a progress shot....DaveB

Nice job on the horn. On your next horn job file the end flat and drill a hole in it. That'll make it look more prototypical.
