Last month (Sept. 2018) I was vacationing in Montesano, Washington. I was kind of fascinated with the lumber industry in the region, all hauled by trucks BTW. I purchased this book Logging to the Salt Chuck, over 100 years of Railroad Logging in Mason County, Washington. By John T. Labbee and Peter J. Replinger. GREAT Picture Book.
In there it was mention that one of their four SW1200 was named the "City of Montesano", a very nice small town that I was staying in (Godson 3 year old birthday). Well here's a little video/photo history of that locomotive.
