Hello from Melbourne, Florida USA

I want to introduce myself to this group of TT scale trains lovers. My name is Richard and I'm recently retired from the Aerospace Industry due to a stroke. This is my first "not my forte" world of trains, having been a Ferrari lover since the age of 10 way back in 1963, slot cars and RC cars to follow also real cars too.
I recently purchased a Tillig 01424 fright train
beginners set, an American 15v 2 A power supply from Amazon. Also 01833, 01834,01835 track extension sets. 18 BR21 curve and 6 of each each in Tilligs catalog, except turnouts. A few more rolling stock: another 15837 sliding wall boxcar and 18001 articulated container car, 07708 container set, a 04934 BR 285 diesel same as in the beginners set. For decoration Busch 7180 water lake foil sheet, Noch 60850 lake film, 46670 straight and 48730 corner tunnels. An Atlasmaster Commander and Generator, Lenz 10312-01 silver plux12 decoder, some Kato 24-818 unijoiner terminal and 24-827 3 way extension cord .
Now I'm waiting for Tillig 9602 track planning from England to see what I could conjure up on a 6 x 4 foot foam sheet reinforced with c channels along the edges. The grass color TBD from the color on the tunnels.
Any comments and help will be most appreciated.
